Reports
Before building a repository of data, or asking for data access to do your own reporting, check out the many existing reports from University data. Keep in mind that your access to reports, or to underlying data, is based on your relationship to the University and specific authorizations. Sources on this list range from public facing reports to specific data with sensitive information available only to employees with a specified business need based on their position.

The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) has institutional reports about UNC, both current Institutional Research and Assessment reports and historical Institutional Research and Assessment reports are available.
The Carolina Analytics Portal (login required) provides dynamic reporting dashboards for commonly-requested data.
Administrative data is available through InfoPorte (login required).
Reports on Student data are available from the Office of the Registrar.
Reports from various committees of the University via the Office of the Provost.
If you need a more specialized report, requirements to do reporting for your business unit, data for research, or have another reporting-related question you may be able to go directly to the “service owner” of the data repository holding what you need.
